The Artist on the artist...

I call myself a Grandma Moses artist, not because I paint like her, but because I started painting later in life.

Most of my work is oil painting or watercolor; however, I have done pencil, fresco and encaustic (hot wax).

My work has hung at College of DuPage in the Galberg Gallery, Wings Gallery, the College Dining Room, and the C.O.D. library. It has also been shown in The Prairie Light Review, the Chocolate Moon in Elmhurst, the Infant Welfare Society in Chicago, the MaNa Gallery in Chicago, National Bank of Commerce in Addison, the DuPage Art League, the External link opens in new tab or windowNational University of Health Sciences, the Bloomingdale Park District Museum, Benedictine University, Tirage Studios, External link opens in new tab or windowHeaven on Seven- Naperville and the Woodridge, Lombard and Darien public libraries.

I started at College of DuPage knowing very little of art and artists and have come to know of artists from Angelico to Wyeth and art from Abstract to Romanticism and learned to appreciate, if not like, all forms of art.

My sincere thanks to all my teachers, especially Jen Hereth.
